If your association options not to host the tournament you are in line for please notify Bob Rowling at the current state meeting or before he goes to the regional meeting in January of that year. It will allow the region to pass the tourney onto another association.

In order  for a Montana team to qualify for either the Western A/B National

Tournaments in any division of play they must participate in the State tournament. If they previously qualify in a Reg./Nat’l Qualifier for the ASA/USA National tourney in their classification they would not have to play in state. If they choose to play in state they would be allowed since our state tournament is now an open tourney.

 

NOTE: Beginning this year college players may play in either the 18U-A or the 18U-B

Divisions for Regional, Regional/Nat’l Qualifiers, Western A or B Nationals. However, it was recommended by the ASA Northwest Regional Council that teams with college

players continue to play in the A-Classification.

NOTE: Only one coach is mandated to have ACE Certification, but all individuals must have a background check if they are affiliated with the team, scorekeeper included.

It was the recommendation of the JO committee last year, all coaches should be ACE certified.
